Wednesday - B3/B4

Students should have their notebook ready for their notebook check on the day of the exam. It will be counted as a quiz grade. Notebooks must be numbered and in order to be considered ready for a check.

Thursday and Friday are normal days. Students will be starting WWI in class.

M/T - closer look at political cartoons (As a class), imperialism reading comprehension "quiz." Review for midterm exam.

W/Th - Review for midterm exam


Reminder - notebook check will be on the day of the scheduled midterm. I will be after on Thurs for those who need help. I am also available during study hall in rm 260. Notebooks will not be checked if they are not in order/numbered. This is the STUDENT'S responsibility.

Week of Jan 16

This week begins on an A day.

Tues - A - Romanticism and individualism. Notes and q on Nationalism in Italy and Germany due (pp 258-263, Q3 - 6). Honors assignment due.

Wed - B - Romanticism and individualism. Honors assignment due.

Thurs/Fri - A/B - Introduction to imperialism in Africa and Asia through notes and political cartoons.


Reminder: Midterms are fast upon us. Students have received midterm (2nd quarterly) review sheet in class. Full class review will occur on W/Th of next week.

Week of Jan 9

This week begins on a B day.

Monday - Linking the Industrial Revolution to modern manufacturing overseas.

Tuesday - Assembly (A day students will have quiz on Thursday instead.

Wed/Thurs - Quiz on South American geography. Nationalism and the creation of Italy and Germany.

Friday - continuation of nationalism.

Midterm review sheets will go out at the end of this week.

Week of Jan 2

This week begins on an A day.

M/T - Break HW due. Latin American revolutions. Timeline of political revolutions.

W/Th - Industrial revolution - introduction

F - Industrialization's impact on progress and the people both today and in the past

Students will receive a map of South America on Monday for quiz on geography during the following week (Jan 10 and 11).
